01

Who we are

Bond Titan is operated by The Southern Agency, a licensed surety bond agency (California Department of Insurance Agency License #6006541). When this policy says “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to The Southern Agency acting through the Bond Titan website. We are the controller of the personal information you share with us on this site.

02

Information we collect

We collect two broad categories of information:

Information you provide. When you contact us, request a quote, or apply for a bond, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, business name and address, the type and amount of bond you need, and the obligee you are bonding to. If you apply for a bond through our partner portal, you may additionally provide your Social Security or Tax ID number, financial statements, credit authorization, and other underwriting information directly to the partner and surety underwriter.

Information collected automatically. When you visit Bond Titan, we and our service providers automatically receive standard log information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences, and measure traffic.

03

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and quote requests;
  • Help you identify the correct bond form and route your application to the right surety underwriter;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve Bond Titan and our catalog;
  • Send you transactional messages about a bond or application you have started, including renewal reminders;
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations applicable to a surety bond agency;
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access.
04

When we share information

We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Surety underwriters and partner portals. To quote and issue a bond, we share your application information with the surety company underwriting the bond and with the third-party surety portal that processes the application and payment.
  • Obligees and filing parties. We provide executed bond forms and required filings to the obligee, court, or regulator that requires the bond.
  • Service providers. Vendors that host the site, send transactional email, measure analytics, and support customer service may process information on our behalf under written agreements.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or regulatory request, or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

05

Cookies and analytics

Bond Titan uses a small number of first-party cookies for core site functionality and may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which bonds people are searching for and how the catalog is performing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking non-essential cookies will not break the site.

06

How long we keep information

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services you requested, maintain our books and records, meet legal, tax, insurance, and licensing obligations, and resolve disputes. Bond applications and indemnity agreements are typically retained for the life of the bond plus the applicable statutory tail.

07

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or internet transmission is ever fully secure, however. Sensitive application data is collected directly by our partner portals over encrypted connections rather than on the public Bond Titan site.

08

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to limit certain uses. California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information — such as records required by insurance law — we may be required to keep even after you request deletion.

09

Children

Bond Titan is intended for adults purchasing surety bonds for themselves or their business. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10

Third-party sites

Bond Titan links to obligee websites, partner application portals, and other resources. Those sites are operated by other organizations and have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to read their privacy notices before submitting information.

11

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting a prominent notice on the site.
